Order of Processions & Other Guidelines
The entire graduation ceremony will be conducted via Zoom, the University Facebook page and YouTube upon commencement of the convocation by the Chancellor.
The Chancellor will declare the commencement of the 5th NIU Graduation Ceremony online, at the stipulated date and time.
All speeches (Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Chairperson University Council and Guest of Honour) will be delivered online.
Graduands’ names will be presented online by the respective Deans. A digital copy of the graduation booklet will be made available on the
University Website.
All academic awards (Postgraduate Diplomas and Masters Degrees) will be conferred by the Chancellor online.
The dissolution of the convocation and graduation ceremony by the Chancellor will be conducted online.
The collection of academic documents will be scheduled by the Office of Academic Registrar in such a manner that it complies with the standard operating procedures of the University and the Uganda Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of the COVID19 pandemic.
Graduates are advised to check and follow the schedule released by the Academic Registrar on when to collect their academic documents by writing to the Office of Academic Registrar at registry@niu.ac.ug.

Graduands of Nexus International University, I am delighted to welcome all of you today to our fifth graduation ceremony.
This is, however, our first virtual graduation ceremony occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier this year, I was looking forward to welcoming all of you to our campus in Munyenga Kampala, but we now live in uncertain times. Hence, our resort to the ageold mantra of safety first.It is my hope that we shall have time to meet physically and to celebrate your wonderful achievements sometime next year or thereafter.
I would like to congratulate all those students graduating. You have worked hard, and your parents, families, and sponsors have sacrificed much to get you here. You carry the flag of a unique university. We wish you the best for the future. Make NIU proud through your contributions, especially by being hard working, innovative, committed, and ethical in your future work and leadership.
I invite you to take a continuing interest in your university as we all join hands to contribute to the development of our countries.
