OVERVIEW

Mental health is a critical component of overall well-being and sustainable development, with a growing recognition of the need for effective promotion and prevention strategies globally and within Sub-Saharan Africa. This Master’s Microcredential Certificate (MMC) provides professionals with a comprehensive understanding of mental health promotion principles, public health approaches to mental well-being, and evidence-based interventions. It equips participants with the skills to design, implement, and evaluate programmes that foster mental health, reduce stigma, and build resilient communities, with a strong focus on culturally appropriate approaches in the African context.

Target Audience

Public health practitioners, healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, clinical officers), social workers, community development workers, educators, NGO staff working in health and social sectors, policymakers, and individuals interested in advancing mental health and well-being.
