Bachelor in Logistics & Supply Chain Mgt

The Bachelor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management program provides students with in-depth knowledge of the principles and practices essential for managing supply chains and logistics operations in today’s interconnected world. The curriculum covers areas such as transportation management, procurement, inventory control, and supply chain strategy, enabling students to address industry challenges with confidence and expertise.

Through practical experiences like internships, simulations, and case studies, students learn to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency across supply chains. The program also integrates emerging trends such as digital supply chain platforms, sustainability, and global trade dynamics, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the evolving demands of the industry.

Key topics include logistics technology, warehousing, demand forecasting, and risk management, fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Graduates are equipped to pursue careers in logistics management, supply chain consultancy, procurement, and operations management, or to continue their studies with professional certifications. The program aims to produce ethical, innovative, and globally-minded professionals who drive supply chain success and contribute to economic growth.

At the end of this program, graduates will be able to:

  4. Demonstrate proficiency in demand forecasting, procurement, and risk assessment.

Direct Entry

  1. UCE with at least six credits which is English and Mathematics.
  2. UACE with at least two Principal Passes obtained at the same sitting, which must include one of the following subjects: Economics, Mathematics, or Entrepreneurship or its equivalence from UNEB or a legitimate national authority.
  3. Foreign students without UACE or its equivalent qualifications, who have successfully completed secondary school education and are admissible to university degree or diploma programmes in their respective home countries. Such students shall have passed at least five subjects with a minimum overall grade of C (Plain). In addition, foreign students whose studies were not conducted in English shall show proof of proficiency in the English Language.

Diploma Entry

Candidates seeking admission through the Diploma holder’s Scheme must:

  1. Have passed Mathematics and English with at least a credit in the Uganda Certificate of Education or its equivalent
  2. Have done a combination involving Economics, Entrepreneurship, History, Geography, Agriculture, Mathematics at UACE and passed at least one of the subjects at Principle level
  3. Have obtained a diploma or its equivalent qualification (at credit/distinction level) in the relevant field from a recognised higher institution of learning.

Mature Entry

Advanced or Higher Diploma Entry

Holders of Advanced Diploma, Higher Diploma, Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification qualify for admission to the relevant Bachelors degree programme. The Advanced or Higher Diploma must be passed at Credit level or higher to be admitted to the final year the relevant Bachelor’s degree programme.
