Description

A practical 8–10 week certificate that trains station owners, managers and frontline teams to run safe, compliant and profitable petrol and gas retail sites. The course combines forecourt simulations, wet-stock awareness, retail merchandising and simple financial controls so participants can reduce losses, improve customer experience and increase non-fuel revenue.

What You Will Learn (6 modules)

● Forecourt operations: pump and POS workflows, shift handovers, cash and float controls.
● Fuel handling and basic safety: safe refuelling procedures, spill response, PPE and emergency shutdowns.
● Wet stock awareness: daily reconciliation routines, basic leak indicators and shrinkage detection.
● Retail merchandising: shop layout, product mix, promotions and upsell techniques to grow convenience store income.
● Customer service and staff management: frontline service standards, rostering and performance checks.
● Basic financial controls and KPIs: simple P&L, margin management, daily sales reconciliation and dashboarding.
● Regulatory compliance: licensing, environmental obligations and local reporting requirements.
