Description A practical 8–10 week certificate that strengthens financial governance, internal controls and compliance with the INPAS (Internal Policies and Standards) framework for NGOs. The course equips finance managers, programme leads and trustees with tools to tighten fiduciary oversight, improve transparency and meet donor and statutory requirements.

● Financial governance frameworks: roles of boards, finance committees and segregation of duties.
● Internal controls and fraud prevention: cash handling, procurement controls, asset management and audit trails.
● Budgeting and financial planning: programme budgeting, variance analysis and cashflow forecasting.
● INPAS compliance: policy alignment, documentation standards and internal policy drafting.
● Grant accounting and donor compliance: restricted funds, cost allocation and donor reporting.
● Audit readiness and external audit management: preparing schedules, responding to queries and implementing audit recommendations.
● Financial reporting and transparency: narrative reporting, dashboards and stakeholder disclosure.
