Description
A practical 10-week certificate that builds capacity in logistics, procurement and supply chain management for emergency response. The course covers rapid needs assessment, prepositioning, procurement under pressure, transport and warehouse management to ensure timely, compliant and cost-effective humanitarian deliveries.
What You Will Learn (6 modules)
● Humanitarian logistics fundamentals: supply chain design for emergencies, surge capacity and logistics coordination.
● Rapid needs assessment and logistics planning: demand forecasting, prepositioning strategies and contingency planning.
● Procurement in emergencies: emergency procurement rules, supplier selection, contracting and ethical sourcing.
● Transport and fleet management: route planning, customs clearance, cross-border logistics and cold chain basics.
● Warehouse and inventory management: storage standards, stock rotation, FIFO and warehouse safety.
● Logistics information systems and tracking: WMS basics, tracking consignments and reporting.
● Risk management and compliance: security, fraud prevention and donor procurement compliance.
