Description
A hands-on 10-week certificate that prepares producers, line producers and production managers to lead complex film and documentary projects from development through distribution. The course emphasises budgeting, scheduling, crew management, legal clearances and distribution strategies for independent and commissioned productions.

● Production planning and development: project packaging, financing options and development pipelines.
● Budgeting and cost control: line-item budgets, contingency planning and cashflow management.
● Scheduling and production logistics: stripboards, call sheets, location management and unit operations.
● Crew and talent management: hiring, contracts, HR on set and union considerations.
● Legal clearances and rights management: releases, location permits, music and archival clearances.
● Post-production workflows: editorial, sound, colour grading, deliverables and festival submission.
● Distribution and festival strategy: sales agents, festival circuits, broadcast and digital distribution.
● Risk, safety and insurance: production insurance, HSE on set and contingency planning.
