Computing and Information Technology

The technology sector is a vibrant one providing many opportunities for graduates. Companies such as Twitter, Facebook, eBay, PayPal and Google are providing jobs  cross a wide variety of computing areas. The School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) understands the impact of technology on the modern society and  the fundamental changes they have imposed on our daily lives. In response, SCIT is continually designing innovative programmes that ensure our degrees remain agile  and relevant. Our students graduate and become robust, well-rounded, and highly skilled ICT professionals. We place a strong emphasis on industry links to ensure our programs remain current, relevant and future proof. Work placements are offered as part of our undergraduate programme which is applied in nature including specialisation areas in Multimedia Systems and Animation, Cyber and Information Security, Networking and Distributed Systems, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. We have strong collaborative relationships with key local, national, and international ICT organisations ensuring that students acquire skills currently needed by organisations.
