ABOUT THE COURSE
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) are essential tools in project management and development. The concept of M&E involves the systematic collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to assess the performance of a project, program, or intervention. This information is then used to make informed decisions, improve project implementation, and demonstrate impact.
In the last two decades, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) has seen an exponential growth around the world in terms of practice, profession and academic study. M&E processes have become an important source of knowledge management and organizational learning in organizations.
COURSE AIM
This course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the concepts, principles, and methodologies related to M&E. Additionally, the course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to design, implement, and manage effective M&E systems. The question “What difference are we making”– as an individual, project, programme, organization or network, is increasingly important whether for learning or accountability.
The course lays out the challenges, introduces a tool-box of techniques and shows where these can be best applied through practical strategies and case studies.
